Common questions
- Why do I slice my driver but not my irons?
- The driver is the longest club with the least loft, so the same out-to-in path and open face produce far more visible side spin. Many golfers slice every club but only notice it with the driver. Read the full guide →
- Is a slice always a swing problem?
- Not always — equipment that is too stiff or a driver set too open can contribute. But for most golfers it is path and face, not gear. Read the full guide →
- What is a good smash factor?
- On a golf launch monitor, driver smash factor around 1.48–1.50 is efficient and irons read progressively lower. A low number is almost always off-center contact rather than a lack of speed. Read the full guide →
- Can I really improve without hitting balls?
- Yes. Slow-motion and mirror work build the motor pattern; short-game touch work transfers directly. Pair it with occasional range or course time to confirm. Read the full guide →
- Should I uppercut in slow-pitch?
- In slow-pitch softball a slight upward path that matches the ball’s descent is ideal. An exaggerated uppercut gets under the ball and turns power into pop-ups. Read the full guide →
- Why do I keep hitting grounders?
- Usually an early top-hand roll-over or a downward path. Work the stay-through cue and check your contact point. Read the full guide →
- What bat size for my child?
- Fit matters more than power. A bat the child can control through the zone with good balance is right — when in doubt, go lighter and get fitted. Read the full guide →
- Why does my forehand spray long?
- Often a flat, tense swing with too little topspin, or late contact. Add low-to-high brush and meet the ball further out front. Read the full guide →
