Power Slap
A power slap is a slapper’s full, driving swing taken while moving through the box — combining the running start of a slap with the force of a normal swing to drive the ball into the outfield.
Once a slapper has forced the defense to charge with soft slaps and bunts, the power slap punishes them: the hitter uses the same crossover footwork but takes a fuller cut, sending hard ground balls and line drives past the drawn-in infield. Mixing soft slaps, drag bunts, and power slaps off identical footwork is what makes an elite slapper impossible to defend.
Example
With the corners pulled in for the bunt, the slapper unloads a power slap that one-hops the wall in the gap.
