On-Course Walking Meditation

Stay present and calm between shots instead of replaying or rushing.

The routine

  1. 1Between shots, let golf go — notice your steps and breath.
  2. 2Feel three full breaths matched to your stride.
  3. 3Soften your eyes and take in the course, not the score.
  4. 4About 30 seconds before your shot, switch the "play" mode back on.
  5. 5Arrive at the ball calm and ready to commit.

Cues

“Walk easy, play ready.”
Breath pattern
Breathe with your stride — inhale 3 steps, exhale 4.
Physical anchor
Your walking rhythm is the anchor.
Reflection
Did I spend the walk replaying the last shot or resetting for the next?

When & how to use it

When: During the walk between every shot.
