🧠 Any Sport · 90s reset
Post-Session Reflection
Leave every session with one lesson, one thing to keep, and one cue for next time — then switch off.
The routine
- 1Sit somewhere quiet and take two slow breaths.
- 2One thing that went well that you want to keep.
- 3One moment that got to you, and how quickly you reset from it.
- 4One lesson — a skill, a decision, or a reset — not a verdict on yourself.
- 5Write one short cue for next time, then close the session.
Cues
Self-talk cue
“Keep one, learn one, let the rest go.”
Breath pattern
Two slow breaths to start, one to finish.
Physical anchor
Closing your notebook or journal ends the session.
Reflection
Is my cue for next time something I control?
When & how to use it
When: Within an hour of finishing a practice, lesson, or game — win or lose.
Practice it: Do it after every session for two weeks so it takes under two minutes.
