7-Day Golf Slice Challenge
Most slices come from an out-to-in path with an open face. This 7-day challenge fixes the path first, then the face, with short daily reps you can do at the range or at home.
The promise: By day 7 you should see a straighter, shorter curve on video — and know exactly what to keep working on.
- 1
Baseline
Film a face-on and a down-the-line swing. Note where the ball starts and which way it curves.
- 2
Transition drop
Rehearse dropping hands and trail elbow toward your trail pocket before turning. 3 sets of 10 at quarter speed.
- 3
Path gate
Headcover gate drill — place a headcover just outside and ahead of the ball; make 20 slow swings that miss it.
- 4
Square the face
Split-hand release drill, half swings, feeling the toe point up after impact. 2 sets of 10.
- 5
Combine
Blend path + face feels at half speed. 20 balls or rehearsals. No full speed yet.
- 6
Add speed
Build to three-quarter speed, keeping the new feel. Film a few swings to check.
- 7
Retest
Film again from the same angles and compare to day 1. Re-run your analysis to confirm.
Your swing, decoded — coaching in your pocket. SwingIQ reads your data and hands you the one fix that matters most, with confident, data-backed guidance you can use today. Findings are heuristic estimates — smart reads that sharpen with every swing you add — and they pair perfectly with a coach for injury concerns or advanced technique work, so you show up to those sessions already ahead.
Drills are low-intensity. Warm up, clear your space, and stop if anything hurts. Junior golfers should practice with adult supervision.
