The advice engine is the layer that turns a list of identified faults into a prioritized action plan. Once the rules engine and heuristic analysis have identified the fault patterns present in your swing, the advice engine ranks them by two criteria. This means impact (how much improvement addressing this fault is likely to produce) and confidence (how certain the diagnosis is given the available data). The highest-ranked combination — highest expected impact, highest diagnosis confidence — becomes your primary advice. Secondary faults may be noted, but only the primary advice is the focus of your training plan until a retest confirms it has been addressed.

The ranking logic reflects the "one fix, one plan, one retest" commitment that is central to SwingVantage's approach. Athletes who receive twenty tips at the same time do not know where to start, spend practice time on lower-priority issues, and rarely close the loop on any single fix. By surfacing one high-leverage advice, the engine ensures that your practice time is spent on the change most likely to improve your performance. This means and a defined retest protocol confirms whether it worked before any new advice is introduced.

Advice are also adapted to your profile. A fix that is high-impact for an experienced player may not be the right starting point for a beginner who has not yet developed the baseline mechanics to execute it. The advice engine weights advice by skill level appropriateness, ensuring that the suggestion is not just the most important fault in the abstract but the most addressable fault given where you are in your development.
