高吊球（Lob）

高吊球是一记打过对手头顶的高弧线击球，迫使他们离开厨房线、退回底线方向。
高吊球是匹克球中用来重置和重新调整站位的武器。进攻性使用时，它能抓住向前倾身在网前的对手，从他们头顶越过得分，或用来争取时间。防守性使用时，它能打断一次正在失利的厨房区来回，重新调整场上位置。一记好的高吊球，应该以至少两到三英尺的余量越过网前球员伸展开的球拍，同时落在底线以内。打得太高的高吊球，会把一次轻松的高远球扣杀送给对手；打得太低的高吊球，则会在网前被截击掉。
伪装是高吊球最大的优势。一记以与轻吊球相同的挥拍启动方式打出的高吊球——打开的拍面、由低到高的刷动——比一记因夸张的上挥动作而暴露意图的高吊球更难被识破。当对手向前倾身、预期又是一记轻吊球的那一刻，正是高吊球最可行的时机。高度和深度都必须恰到好处：一记越过球拍、却落在场地中段的高吊球，会给对手撤退和扣杀的时间；一记打得太平的高吊球，则会在越网之前就被截击。
防守性高吊球用于在厨房区争夺战失利时争取时间、重新调整站位。进攻性高吊球则是针对贴网对手的预谋战术。在更高水平的比赛中，高吊球还为随后的高远球反攻创造条件——一些高水平球员会有意引诱对手打出高吊球，把对手逼离球网线，然后攻击高远球的落点。

Delay your lob decision until the last split second. This means same paddle-face opening as a dink, then redirect the swing path upward. This means. As a result, the opponent cannot read it from your preparation.

Common mistakes
- Lobbing when opponents are already in good position to retreat, giving them time to set up an overhead
- Hitting a lob that lands short in mid-court, allowing an easy overhead at full extension
- Telegraphing the lob with a visibly exaggerated upswing that opponents read before contact
- Overusing the lob in a single match until opponents start positioning deeper in anticipation

Frequently asked questions
如果高吊球从球网柱外侧飞过，还算合法吗？
不算——与绕柱击球（ATP）不同，高吊球必须越过球网飞行。一记绕过球网柱、落地界内的球，属于ATP，而不是高吊球。
