Playtomic Levels
Also known as: playtomic level, playtomic levels, playtomic rating, playtomic level system, playtomic reliability, padel level playtomic
Playtomic levels rate padel players on a scale from 0 to 7, with 7 the highest. Your starting level comes from a questionnaire, and it then moves after competitive matches with a confirmed result. Wins push it up and losses push it down, by amounts based on the players' levels, your reliability and the result.
New players answer a questionnaire that sets an automatic starting level. Playtomic's terms keep that starting level between 0.5 and 5.7. They allow the new player to adjust it by 0.5 up or down. Players can also lower their own level later if they think it is too high.
After that, competitive matches move the level. Friendly matches do not, even if you enter the result. Playtomic says the size of each change depends on the players' levels, each player's reliability and the final result. Reliability is a percentage that shows how settled your level is. The lower it is, the more each result moves you, and it grows as you play competitive matches.
Certified coaches at leveling clubs can run a leveling session. They may raise or lower your level based on what they see. A Playtomic level describes play in matches booked through that app. Other clubs, federations and apps use their own scales.
Tips by skill level
Answer the questionnaire honestly, then play competitive matches with players near your level. Your level settles as reliability grows.
If you think your level is wrong, a leveling session with a certified coach can move it up or down.
Example
A new player rates herself 2.0 through the questionnaire. Her reliability is still low. Two wins in competitive matches against higher-rated pairs push her level up noticeably.
Why it matters
Many clubs use Playtomic levels to fill open matches with similar players. Knowing how the number moves helps you choose fair games and read your level honestly.
Common mistakes
- Expecting friendly matches to change your level
- Overrating yourself on the starting questionnaire
- Reading a lot into early swings while reliability is low

- Padel Levels: What Level Am I?Padel levels describe what you can do on court. Beginners are still learning the rules, the walls and basic control. Intermediate players sustain longer rallies, volley well and use simple tactics. Advanced players use the walls to attack and defend and control the lob, bandeja and chiquita.
- Padel Scoring SystemPadel uses the same point, game, and set structure as tennis. That means 15, 30, 40, game, best of three sets, with a tiebreak at 6 games all. The common difference is how deuce is played. The FIP rules allow advantage scoring, Star Point (two chances at advantage, then a deciding point) or the Golden Point (one deciding point at 40–40).
- Padel Rules for BeginnersPadel is played in pairs on an enclosed court, and scoring follows tennis. Serve underarm after one bounce behind the service line, diagonally into the opposite box. In a rally, your shot must land in the opponents' court before it touches their walls. After that bounce it may come off the walls and still be played.
