RA是衡量球拍拍框在受力下弯曲程度的硬度指标。RA值更高(66以上)意味着拍框更硬、力量更强,但手感也更生硬;RA值更低(58以下)则弯曲更多,带来更好的手感和手臂舒适度。
RA——Racquet Advisor硬度指标——的测量方法,是把球拍在拍喉处夹紧,在拍尖处施加负荷,同时测量以毫米为单位的形变量。拍框越硬,形变越小;拍框越柔韧,形变越大。得出的数字,描述的是拍框在接触瞬间贯穿球体时的抗弯曲能力。这项测量是在裸拍框上进行的,不含拍线,这意味着公开发布的RA数字代表的是裸拍框——拍线的选择和磅数会调整接触瞬间实际感受到的有效硬度。

If you are choosing a first or replacement racquet and are unsure about stiffness, err toward a mid-flex frame in the 60–65 RA range. It will be more forgiving of off-center contact and give you time to develop consistent mechanics before deciding whether more stiffness would benefit your game.
When optimizing arm comfort while keeping power, change the string type before changing the frame. Moving from a stiff polyester string at high tension to a softer multi-filament or natural gut in the same frame can reduce effective stiffness by a lot. This means often enough to resolve arm discomfort without the cost of a new racquet. If string change is insufficient, then a frame swap to lower RA is warranted.

Why it matters

How it shows up on video
RA stiffness is not directly visible in video. But its effects can be seen in player behavior. This means wincing after off-center hits, shortening the swing to reduce contact force, or shaking out the arm between points can all be signs of a frame that is too stiff for the player's mechanics. Impact feel and vibration, not swing path, are the observable consequences of RA.
Common mistakes
- Choosing a stiff frame for power without accounting for mechanics. This means off-center hits with a 68+ RA frame produce far more high shock that damages the arm over time.
- Assuming a stiffer frame will cure power loss. This means if the loss stems from swing speed or contact point rather than energy return, a stiffer frame adds arm stress without solving the problem.
- Pairing a high-RA frame with stiff polyester strings — this compounds the stiffness effect and is one of the most common causes of recreational tennis elbow.
- Never considering RA when experimenting with lead tape. This means adding mass at the hoop raises swingweight and increases contact forces. This amplifies any existing RA-related arm stress.
