并排站位

并排站位是双打的标准站位排列，双方搭档站得齐平——无论在厨房线还是底线——把场地覆盖分成左右两半。
并排站位是双打的默认排列方式，也是能最大化场地覆盖的方式。在厨房线上，双方球员肩并肩站立，随着球的移动一起作为一个整体移动。覆盖责任通常在中线处分开：正手朝向中路的球员（对右打球手而言通常是站在左侧的球员）负责处理中路球。当一名球员过度抢攻时，并排站位就会崩溃，制造出对手可以利用的空档。
厨房线上的并排站位，需要主动维持，而不仅仅是初始的站位。随着轻吊球左右移动，双方球员一起滑动，以维持中路覆盖。当一名球员被拉向宽侧处理一记轻吊球时，另一名球员则要靠拢，覆盖中路接缝。这种整体移动——仿佛在髋部相连——能防止对手利用中路进攻或身体球攻击未被覆盖的一侧留下的空档。
在接发球之后的底线并排站位中，双方搭档会等待第三球再决定是否推进。底线搭档用抽击或重置来覆盖自己的半场，而发球组合则尝试执行他们的第三球模式。在每一次进攻或erne尝试之后重新回到紧密的并排站位——而不是留在积极进取的宽侧位置——正是让这种阵型在漫长回合中能够持续维持的原因。

Common mistakes
- Moving on its own of the partner to cover a dink, leaving the center seam open for a middle attack
- Standing in side-by-side at the kitchen line without both players being at the same depth from the line
- Failing to slide back together to side-by-side after a wide erne attempt or attack, leaving the formation asymmetric
- Allowing one player to reliably poach toward the center, creating a predictable wide-side gap opponents exploit
