타순

타순은 선수들이 타석에 서는 정해진 순서다. 슬로피치에서는 최고의 출루 위협을 상위에, 가장 파워가 좋은 타자를 득점을 만들 수 있는 자리에 배치하도록 구성한다.
잘 짜인 슬로피치 타순은 최고의 콘택트 타자와 주루 능력자를 상위(1~2번)에 배치해 출루시키고, 파워 타자를 3~5번에 배치해 득점을 만들며, 신뢰할 수 있는 타자를 6~8번에 배치해 랠리를 이어간다. 9번 타자는 출루해 상위 타순으로 라인업을 연결하는 테이블세터 역할을 해야 한다. 추가 타자(EH) 규정이나 10명 수비 라인업이 있는 리그에서는 추가 자리를 가장 약한 선수가 아니라 차상위 타자에게 주어야 한다. 슬로피치는 고득점 경기이므로 상위 타순이 더 자주 타석에 서고, 그래서 콘택트 효율이 가장 좋은 타자가 그 자리를 차지해야 한다.
Put your most consistent contact hitters at the top of the order to create baserunners, and your power hitters in the 3-5 spots to drive them in.
In competitive slow-pitch, lineup construction should be data-driven. This means track each player's performance by game situation, count, and inning to optimize placement rather than defaulting to intuition.

한 팀이 가장 빠르고 출루율이 높은 타자를 5번에서 1번으로 옮긴다 — 이후 세 경기 동안 그녀가 파워 타자들보다 앞서 더 자주 출루하면서 6점을 추가로 얻는다.
How it shows up on video
The batting order's effect is visible across a full game as different batter types come up in different situations. Leadoff hitters' plate appearances are visible in patient approaches, while cleanup hitters' at-bats show more power-oriented swings. The lineup cycle becomes apparent as players come to bat a second and third time in higher-leverage situations.
Common mistakes
- Putting your best power hitter at the very top of the order, wasting RBI opportunities with fewer runners on base
- Burying contact hitters too deep in the order, making them bat with two outs and the bases empty too often
- Not adjusting the lineup based on opposing pitcher tendencies or field conditions
- Keeping the same lineup regardless of which players are hitting well during the season — ignore recent performance at your peril
