旋转率
旋转率是指球离开杆面后旋转的速度,以转/分钟计量。它控制着球如何升起、维持在空中,以及落地时如何停住。

For the driver: if your shots balloon in any wind or feel "weak" despite a solid hit, your driver spin rate is probably too high. The two fastest fixes are. This means (1) move the ball forward in the stance and add spine tilt away from the target to promote a more positive attack angle. (2) strike the ball on the upper third of the driver face. This naturally reduces spin on modern drivers.
Use the "smash factor and spin rate" combination as a quality check. A driver shot with smash factor above 1.48 and spin rate below 2,600 rpm is an efficient, high-carry strike. A high smash factor with high spin usually indicates a low strike on the face with a negative attack angle — correct the AoA. A low smash factor with any spin rate indicates an off-center strike — fix contact first.

How it shows up on video
Spin rate is not directly observable from video but leaves visual fingerprints. A driver shot that balloons steeply (climbs, then falls nearly straight down) is over-spinning. A wedge shot that lands and rolls out by a lot is under-spinning — often a flier lie indicator. On short irons, a shot that checks on landing then releases backward indicates very high spin; one that skips forward suggests a clean flier.
Common mistakes
- Trying to reduce driver spin by delofting the club at impact. This means this helps reduce spin loft and spin rate. But extreme delofting also reduces launch angle below the optimal window. Adjust attack angle (setup) rather than trying to de-loft at impact.
- Ignoring the flier lie with mid-irons. This means rough between the ball and face reduces friction and cuts spin sharply, often causing shots to fly 10–20% farther than expected. Club down in flier lies.
- Choosing a ball that reduces spin without understanding the tradeoff. This means a low-spin ball reduces driver spin (good) but also reduces wedge spin (bad for stopping on greens). Match the ball to your priority distance from the hole.
- Confusing sidespin with backspin — a launch monitor reports total spin and axis tilt, from which sidespin is derived. A shot with high "spin rate" that also curves violently has a tilted spin axis, not simply more backspin.
