滚旋球（Roll Shot）

滚旋球是一记从底线或中场打出的、带有强烈上旋的击球，让球在对手前冲时急剧下坠到脚下，阻止对方干净地放缓。
滚旋球架起了强力抽击与轻吊球之间的桥梁。从中场出发，球员陡峭地从球的后方向上刷动，产生上旋，让球短暂上升后迅速下坠——瞄准对手前场移动时的鞋带区域。由于它同时结合了速度和下坠，比一记平击抽击更难放缓，也比一记标准轻吊球更难被进攻。斜线方向的滚旋球，能利用球网中央较低以及更长的斜线飞行路径，最大化旋转的作用时间。
中场滚旋球在对手处于过渡区——已经开始前冲，但还没有稳定站在厨房线上时最有效。在这一刻瞄准鞋带区域，能让对手陷入最糟糕的触球高度：太低无法抽击，离厨房区又太远，无法干净地轻吊。滚旋球本质上是把过渡区变成了针对正在前冲的对手的武器。
稳定的滚旋球需要刻意练习陡峭的由低到高挥拍路径角度——比平击抽击更陡，比上旋轻吊球更平缓。一个有用的训练方法，是在厨房线内三英尺处、鞋带高度设置一个目标锥筒，从中场练习滚旋打向它。落在锥筒上的球代表理想的滚旋执行；弹得更高的球说明速度过大；落短的球则说明这一击向前的驱动力不足。
Think of the roll shot as hitting the bottom half of the ball with your paddle face brushing upward. This means the image of brushing the underside produces the low-to-high path on its own.
Time your roll shot to land at the shoelace zone of an opponent who is still one or two steps from the kitchen line. This is the moment they have the least ability to reset cleanly.

Common mistakes
- Using a flat swing path instead of a low-to-high brush, producing a drive that lacks the dipping effect
- Hitting the roll shot from inside the kitchen transition when a dink would be safer and more controlled
- Targeting the body rather than the feet, allowing the opponent to block with a full arm swing
- Over-spinning the ball with insufficient forward pace, causing it to drop into the net before crossing
