Your browser also keeps the 6 most recent clips on the device, so you can re-analyze one without uploading it again. Those copies do not leave the device either.

When you are signed in, a saved analysis can include one still frame used to draw your swing trace, and it syncs with the analysis; deleting the analysis removes it. Beyond that, two optional features can send part of a clip — a limited set of still frames, never the full video — and both only run if you choose them: a cloud re-read offered when your device could not read the footage, and an "AI second opinion" you can start from the One Fix step of your results. Motion Lab saves each analysis in the browser that made it. When you are signed in, your recent analyses are also kept with your account so they follow you to other devices: the reads, a compact motion track and, for some swings, one still frame used to draw your swing trace — never the video file. Until you create an account, your data lives only in that browser, so clearing its storage, or switching to another browser, leaves it behind.

Two optional features can send a limited set of still frames from a clip, never the file itself — see what leaves your device. Either way the data is yours to download or delete.

• One session: remove it from your sessions list. There is a short undo window.
• Everything, but keep the account: Reset All Data in Settings → Data Management deletes your profile, clubs, sessions and swing analyses from this device and, when you are signed in, from your account on every device.
• This device only: Clear Data On This Device, in the Data Center, wipes SwingVantage from this browser. Your account copy stays, and signing in brings it back.
• The account itself: see deleting your account.

Resetting everything and deleting the account both ask you to type a confirmation word first, because neither can be undone.

Before you create an account your data is only in your browser, so clearing the browser's storage removes it. For anything you cannot delete yourself, email privacy@swingvantage.com.

• Account sync, when signed in: your profile, sessions, progress and recent swing analyses — the reads, a compact motion track and, for some swings, one still frame used to draw the swing trace. Never the video file.
• The cloud re-read, only if you agree: up to 60 still frames from a clip your device could not read.
• The AI second opinion, only when you start it: a small sample of still frames, processed by a third-party AI provider where that review is available.
• AI Coach, when you ask it something: your question plus what it answers from — profile details such as your first name, level, handedness, usual miss and goal, your latest and last few results (main issue and score, plus launch-monitor numbers for golf), your coaching style and, while personalisation is on, a short summary of your coaching history. Never your video, email or account identifiers.
• Questions you type into Ask, and a launch-monitor photo you ask SwingVantage to read.
• A launch-monitor CSV whose key columns SwingVantage cannot recognise: its column names and up to 8 sample rows are sent automatically so an AI service can suggest the column mapping. The import preview also has a "Re-read my file with AI" button that sends the same.
• Usage analytics, according to your cookie choice.

Who processes each of these is covered in third-party services.

Clips your device read well are never sent. The offer also only appears where the cloud service has been set up, so you may never see it.

Before anything is sent, you confirm that frames will leave your device and that the result is still an estimate, not a measurement. It also checks the athlete’s age as set in your settings — adult or under 18: a young athlete needs a parent or guardian’s consent on file, and if the athlete’s age is unknown the cloud read cannot be used. Staying on-device is always one tap away.

SwingVantage’s server passes the frames on for that read without storing or logging them. Often a better recording helps more — the quality tiers tell you what to change.

• Data from before you had an account stays only in your browser until you clear it.
• Operational logs are kept for a short period for security and reliability, then deleted or aggregated.

Exact retention periods are still being finalized and are subject to legal review. The Privacy Policy is where they will be published.

The backup covers every sport — profiles, sessions, badges and analyses. It is a data file, not a video archive, so keep your original clips in your camera roll if you want them.

Restoring shows a preview first and lets you either merge the backup with what is already there or replace it.

SwingVantage does use privacy-safe evidence to make the product more reliable — for example, when the "Sync your swing analyses" switch is on, a short summary of how well each read held up. A "Help improve SwingVantage" switch in Settings controls whether anonymized, aggregated insights from your use contribute, and you can turn it off.

If you start the optional AI second opinion, its sampled frames are processed by a third-party AI provider under that provider’s own privacy terms. See third-party services.

Your data is used to run the features you use, show your progress, keep the service reliable and secure, and send important product or account updates. Children’s data is never sold and is not knowingly used for advertising.

The service providers that help run SwingVantage process data on its behalf; they are listed on the subprocessors page.

Elsewhere, analytics that set cookies are on by default and you can switch them off; depending on what is enabled, they can include usage heatmaps and session replay. Change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer of any page.

A privacy-friendly analytics tool that sets no cookies may also count visits, and the analytics setup respects browser Do Not Track signals where supported.

• Hosting and delivery — runs the site for everyone.
• Account database and sign-in — stores your account, profile and training data when you have an account.
• Email — account messages such as sign-in emails and retest reminders.
• Analytics — usage measurement, subject to your cookie choice.
• AI providers — only for optional AI features. AI Coach receives your question with the profile details, recent results and coaching summary it answers from; the AI second opinion receives a small sample of still frames; photo import receives the photo you choose; launch-monitor CSV import can send column names and a few sample rows for help mapping them. Your full video, email and account identifiers are not sent to AI providers.
• Abuse protection — your IP address and request counts, briefly, to rate-limit traffic.
• Payment processing — listed for when paid plans launch; nothing is charged today.
